Linking ECTouch2 with the Handpoint Payment App

Follow these steps to seamlessly link ECTouch2 with the Handpoint Payment app for smooth transaction processing:

1. Install Apps from PaxStore

• The installation of both apps should happen automatically and behind the scenes if the device

is correctly assigned in Paxstore (Reseller McArthur Glen) and connected to the internet.

• Ensure both the ECTouch2 app and Handpoint Payment app are installed from PaxStore.

2. Activate the Handpoint Payment App

• Launch the Handpoint Payment app and ensure it is running in Integrated Mode (app Settings —> Integrated Mode).

3. Configure ECTouch2

• Launch the ECTouch2 app and access the Menu (top left corner).

4. Enter API Details

• Access the Menu (top left corner). Navigate to the Settings menu, and input the following API details:

  • API URL: https://main.ectouch2.com

  • Terminal ID: 12312344

  • Auth Base URL: https://auth.ectouch2.com

• Click Save

• Click Get Api

  • A passcode will be required. The passcode is the current date backwards (yyyyMMdd)

  • A Terminal Password will be required. Terminal Password: 654321

• Click Save

• Click Login

5. A. Set Printer Connections

• Access the Menu (top left corner). Navigate to Programming, and set up Printer Connections:

  • Function: Receipt

  • Printer ID: 1

• Click Save to confirm.

5. B. Configure IP Printers:

• Navigate to the IP Printers tab

  • Set up a printer on ID 1 with the following details:

    • Printer Type: A920ProHandPoint

    • IP Address: 0.0.0.0 (Leave as default)

  • Click Save to confirm.

6. Restart ECTouch2

• Restart the ECTouch2 app to apply the changes.

7. Link ECTouch2 with Handpoint Payments app:

• Open the Menu (Top Left) in ECTouch2 and navigate to Card Integration.

• Enter the Handpoint API key from TMS (the device should be assigned to a merchant in TMS) and click Get Devices.

• Select the correct device and click Save.

8. Transaction Processing:

• Now, when using the Card button in the ECTouch2 app, transactions will seamlessly start on the Handpoint Payment app.
