delete the cache and data in PAX devices.

Clearing the cache of the Payments app is recommended every time that you assign a reader from one merchant to another, and in general when the reader has been acting strangely and going through different changes for troubleshooting. 

This will erase the configurations from the app in your reader, clearing out any app related data. After performing this step, it is necessary to setup the app again (eg. go through the onboarding)  

To clear the cache and data:

  1. Navigate to the Android settings of the TERMINAL (not the app)

  2. Use password pax9876@@ or 9876 when required

  3. Go to the Apps section 

  4. locate the Handpoint app (or the app you're using)

  5. Go to Storage

  6. Select CLEAR DATA

  7. Select CLEAR CACHE
