Native integrations : Going live without payment processing capabilities
For an application natively integrated to the Handpoint Android SDK to be able to work without payment processing capabilities, it is still required for the terminal to be assigned in the Handpoint terminal management system (TMS). The reason being that without having the terminal created in the TMS, the Android SDK is unable to download a configuration and therefore can not be initialized.
Therefore, if a merchant wants to be able to use an ISV app natively integrated to the Handpoint Android SDK without payment processing. The merchant, still needs to be created in the TMS and the acquirer credentials used should be intentionally incorrect, for example “12345678” as an MID to make sure that even if the merchant tries a payment by card it will be declined.
