Factory Reset

If everything else fails, there is one last step to try. A factory reset will return the PAX device to its original state. The injected key is not affected. The steps might be different depending on the model.

To clear all data:

Navigate to the Android settings of the terminal (not the app)
Use password pax9876@@ or 9876 when required
Select Back up & Reset
Select Factory data reset
Confirm Reset if requested.
Follow any on-screen prompts or instructions that the device provides to complete the reset process.

If you cannot find Back up & reset, try:

Within the “Settings,” you will typically find an option for “System” or “Device” settings. Navigate to this section.
In the “System” or “Device” settings, look for the “Factory Reset” or “Reset to Factory Defaults” option. This is the setting you want to select.
Confirm Reset if requested. The device will usually prompt you to confirm your decision.
Follow any on-screen prompts or instructions that the device provides to complete the reset process.
